AUTOMATIC TANK CLEANING

Contango with a partner (COLOGICA S.p.A). are equipped with one of top of the range equipment, the innovative Crude Oil Washing Automated tank cleaning system, a safe, non-man entry (until the Gas-free condition is reached) and eco-friendly way to perform crude oil, heavy fuel oil and other black oils tank cleanings.

Especially designed to clean large volume, difficult-to-clean oil tanks, the C.O.W. system can be tailored to meet the individual needs of different Client – whether they need an efficient tank cleaning, sludge separation and oil recovery in one integrated process. It is suitable for both floating and fixed roof tanks and it is highly flexible thanks to its modular and mobile container system.

The C.O.W. system has several advantages, like the following :

  • Reduced cleaning time: up to 80% reduced cleaning time and shorter down-time
  • Minimal environmental impact: It ensures up to 98% hydrocarbons recovery from sludge, with a consequent reduction in the waste amount to dispose in landfills
